They said that they could spray all these chemicals on the crops and it was fine because it wouldn’t end up in the food.
That was a while ago.
They just tested the food. The chemicals are in the food.
They said the chemicals wouldn’t hurt people. That was a while ago.
But then a bunch of people died. And someone got cancer and sued them before he died and won $289,000,000. (And then had his winnings cut back to $78,000,000. C’est la vie!)
Science, truth, and life lessons
They said the chemicals wouldn’t go out and do anything bad to the other plants or animals. That was a while ago.
And then the bees started dying. And the rivers and lakes and oceans got gummed up with toxic algae that killed a bunch of fish. And on and on.
They keep saying stuff, like that they have a bunch of science that says reality isn’t happening. That it’s just tricks of the imagination, or whatever.
The lesson is: If you’re going to have a story, stick to it! No matter what!
And also, stay away from the chemicals. No matter what they say. Trust logic. Not them.
It may save your life! (Or cost you millions. Or both!)
And just you watch. They will now say that the chemicals are there in small amounts. So small that nothing can happen to you. This is they type of thing they say. Are you going to keep falling for it? Or maybe this time, they will be right!
