You’ve probably seen these things around. They look like motorbikes, but they have two wheels in the front. Like a car. But only one in the back. Like a motorbike! And the sitting part looks more like a motorbike than a car. Let’s assume they are hoping to sell them to motorbike riders more than car drivers.
What are they? Are they safe? They bring up so many questions.
I sure don’t know what to make of them. I don’t really get it. But who am I to judge? I suppose I can let it slide. But 3 wheel segways? That’s an issue. Segways were supposed to be a miracle. A rolling optical illusion. It was enough to get past the sheer dorkiness of them. But put a third wheel on it and the magic is gone. Now it’s just lazy. And dorky.
But back to the question at hand: What do real 2-wheel motorcycle riders think of the new three-wheel trend?
Do they think the people that ride them are total losers? Or are they cool with it?
Do they say: ‘That’s not a real bike. Why are you so worried about falling over? Learn to ride! GET OFF THE ROAD?’
Or do they say: ‘Anything goes, man. Do your thing. Ride or die!’
You just never really know.
Is it an exercise in radical acceptance?
Maybe they are cool with mopeds. Maybe they are even cool with segways. Maybe they are all chill dudes that don’t let themselves get ruffled by the little things.
AND AT LEAST THEY AREN’T CARS!
Is it the big things or the little things that get our goats?
For example, skiers probably hate snowboarders more than they hate kayakers. Whatever! You’re both ponying up the big bucks to slide down a hill!
There’s a moral to the story. You can decide what it is…
